Renown is a type of in game currency. It is spent when recruiting villagers for your settlement or building certain structures such as Travel Signs.

Earn Renown by completing quests, building constructions, and fending off threats such as bandits, wildlife, or brigands. This is your currency with which you hire villagers for your player settlements along with trust.
Death[]
Dying does not cause the loss of renown.
